Starting An Online Marketing Business can be quite daunting. There will be so many sites telling you what products you need, why you need them and how much money you will be loosing out on if you do not buy them.
When Starting An Online Marketing Business there are actually very few tools that you actually do need. Below I have listed 5 things that are essential when starting an online marketing business. There are probably an additional 5 to 10 items that will make your life easier and accelerate your growth but these are not essential in the first instance.
- Training – Getting the best training is essential to your success if you are a newbie to online marketing. It should not cost you a fortune and you should have the ability to get feedback throughout your training. - A Domain Name. The domain name is just the address that points to where your web page is stored. It is essential to get the domain name that is relevant to your business or niche. A domain name can be bought through many companies online such as GoDaddy and 1&1. It is advisable to get a top level domain name i.e. one ending in .com
- A good web hosting a service is essential. A web hosting company enables individuals or organisations to make their own websites and have them accessible to the world wide web. You need a company that has little downtime and that has the ability to handle the traffic that you will hopefully generate. HostGator is probably the most popular hosting company but there are many other companies in the marketplace, once again 1and1 is another good company.
- A website or landing page is essential to your success. Depending on what type of business or product you are trying to market will very much depend on the structure, as you will probably have gathered starting off with the good training or mentoring/coaching is essential so that your business is structured properly from day one. This saves time and money. Depending on your skill levels it will have a great bearing on whether you create your website or you get a professional to do it for you. The latter option is often the best as it can save considerable time and enable you to spend your time on more profitable aspects of your business.
- Autoresponder. These are essential if you wish to create free time, an autoresponder has the ability to automate many of the mundane tasks. You often hear that the “money is in the list”, what this actually means is that you need to collect names and email addresses of potential clients. The auto responders will do this automatically and send out predetermined literature, promotions or other marketing material you deem necessary.
The above five items are probably the five most important things that you require when Starting An Online Marketing Business and once the above is set up, 80% of your time should be spent on driving traffic to your site.
